They just can’t do it…
These individuals simply do not have the grace or humility to admit, “We were wrong. In spite of all of the warnings, we didn’t think it would end like this and we are sorry for the harm that we have caused.”
They are just incapable of it.
Instead, they scramble for a way out of the massive hole they dug, desperate to escape the reality of what they destroyed in another person’s life.
They need to let go, stop interfering or intruding, stop making declarations or statements, stop digging more holes and allow a person, who never did them any wrong, to finally move forward.
But they just can’t do it.
No one should ever be expected to shrink themselves, or live a diminished life, just to fit other people’s narrative.
No one should.
Someone else needs to step up and take control of this situation. You can’t leave it to them, because they don’t have the capacity to resolve this.
